Default Game Update regarding Necro skills

A quick question regarding the game update that I received last night. I read on the Riverside Inn forum that the update included updating Necro skills and several now only cost 1 Energy to cast. I didnt know about this update and didnt get a chance to play necro last night. Is this true or was it a typo in that forum.

If true, does it make any sense? Why not just make it 0 Energy to cast, the 1 energy cost with 4 pips of regen, will be regenerated before the necro is done casting.

Let me know if i am incorrect, Thanks.

Most likely it was made a 1 energy cost because the game doesn't support a zero except for on signets

Skill changes are being evaluated. They could still change them to signets for zero energy.

So if you use a build that uses a lot of those skills, doesnt that pretty much make soul reaping useless? Well I guess those are all skills that requre a sacrifice.

This is really reaching here, but...
If the (secondary) necromancer has 0 energy (just play along with me), then they wouldn't be able to start the cast.

Maybe they're working to change the role-play of necros: they use life force, rather than energy, to cast their blood magic.

Have 0 Energy with those skills from Ranger Expertise.
